I love creating something for a particular person and a particular place. It might begin with a proportion that needs to be just right, a function that cannot be compromised, or simply the feeling that nothing I have found quite belongs.
Designing that piece allows me to make something that fits naturally into their world — something considered for the room, but also for the person who will live with it. That connection is one of the parts of my work I find most rewarding.
A chair that belongs.
Created to hold its own within a room without overpowering it, the chair brings together a sculptural outer form and a softer, enveloping interior. Its contrasting upholstery, tailored panelled back and precise brass details make comfort feel considered from every angle.
A room within a room.
Designed to give the bed a sense of place, this wraparound headboard creates privacy, presence and calm. Its softly architectural form balances generous upholstery with a fine brass line, turning an intimate function into the defining gesture of the room.
Quiet distinction.
Conceived for a space that needed presence without visual weight, the console is a study in softened geometry and restrained proportion. Warm parchment lacquer, a finely proud brass reveal and sculpted metal legs allow the piece to feel both useful and quietly singular.
A place for what matters.
Designed when a conventional blanket box felt too heavy and ordinary for the room, The Coffer was conceived as a more architectural, jewellery-like alternative. Raised from the floor on sculpted bronze legs, it combines a tailored blue-grey upholstery, tonal piping, a softly divided lid and a faceted bronze pull inspired by Mandana’s jewellery language. Inside, the piece is lined in warm tobacco suede — practical storage treated as something precious.
